It was a non-productive morning; I have been sitting here starring out of the window at the beautiful snow topped mountains for the longest time. I work in the back room of an inner city flat. “Maybe some coffee will help perk me up,” I thought. I went outside to fill the kettle with water from the barrel. I sense something nearby, and when I turned, I saw a white wolf; it was coming down from the mountains. The wolf kept coming down the slope, and when he got a few feet away from me and my flat, he stopped.

The wolf was just staring at me, I felt very uneasy, and so I started to back away slowly toward the entrance of my residence. I made it to the front door, and bit by bit, I entered my flat, and locked the door. One while I thought he was going to start charging at me, but that was not the case. After I felt safe, inside my flat, I looked out the window and he was still there. He was a lone white pure wolf with pale green eyes.

I gazed out the window at the wolf for a while, he did not look threatening, and he just stood there as if he was waiting for something or someone. I made coffee and tried to enjoy it, but the thought of a wolf outside my home is just too much to bare.  I decided not to waste my day trying to figure out the mind frame of a lone wolf. I am inside the flat now, safe, sound and no longer in danger.  I went back to my room and tried to concentrate on work.

Soon after I settled at my desk, I heard a loud crash. I jumped up to see what was going on. It sounds like it came from the back of the house, so I grabbed my antique bat and ease toward the back of the flat, to  my  surprise a man broke into the back window and  was stealing food from my fridge and he headed back out the window. I yelled and yelled for him to stop, but he kept going. I looked out the broken window, and the wolf was standing there waiting. When the man ran out with my stolen goods, the wolf jumped him and everything the man was holding, fell to the ground. The man struggled to get up,  and he finally did. Then, he took off running and the wolf behind him.

Wolves have a sense about danger, not only for themselves, but for humans also. The wolf came down from the mountains, to protect me from the man who broke my window and stole my food. I come to realize this, because as soon as the wolf chase the man away, he went back up the mountains, and had not been seen since. I thanked my lucky stars for that wolf.
